4-1-6 Introduction of the TPM Security Solution
This product is equipped with the TPM (Trusted Platform Module) security chip, promoted by the
Trusted Computing Group (TCG). TCG members include Microsoft, Sony, Sun Microsystem, IBM, HP,
AMD, Intel and other big IT companies. The TPM is implemented in computer identification devices,
consisting of TPM hardware (the TPM chip) and its supporting software (the Infineon Security Platform).
The TPM basically is a micro-chip affixed to a motherboard. It can store important data like keys,
passwords, and digital certificates and is able to prevent theft on important data from external software.
The TPM can also protect hard disk data through its supporting software.
Introduction to the Infineon Security Platform
